Who Is Terri Cruce?
I am a wife and a mom of two beautiful grown daughters. I am an animal lover and advocate. I have a particular passion for pit bulls and their welfare.
I am a self-professed introvert, who loves to spend time with small groups of people who are important to me. I feel alone in a crowd of unfamiliar faces.
I love to write. I’ve been writing all my life, both professionally and for pleasure.
I’ve been freelancing since my children were babies. I started working from home, so I could stay home and care for them and watch them grow up.
I know what it means to make deadlines even in the midst of a crisis. I know how to be my own, responsible, boss.
I have years of writing experience, starting way back in corporate America, where I was a technical writer for insurance companies and in the banking industry. Back then I wrote training manuals and Policy & Procedure Manuals and other texts and documentation.
Boring, indeed, but at least it was writing.
After I had my daughters, now grown, I took some time off from writing and did other home-based work to help with the bills and still be home with my children. But I never really enjoyed it and the desire to write remained unsatisfied.
Then about five years ago, I started a fitness consulting business from home and as part of that, I began to dip my hand back into writing.
At first, it was small things, and then I launched my fitness website and began writing blog content.
But ironically, since my primary focus was on other aspects of my business, I found myself where you are now — wanting to write but lacking the time to do it well.
That’s when I thought, hey, why not start a freelance writing business!
It seemed like an endeavor whose time had come.
And the result is the business site where you’ve now landed.
I decided it was time to pursue my real dream. Just like you’re doing with your business.
I believe life is meant to be spent doing what makes us happy. That’s why I started Terri Cruce Writes.
Now I help you create the life that makes you happy, by taking care of your business writing needs.
It’s a win/win situation of the highest order. 🙂
